Workshops

Workshops are held throughout the year, be it floral art, gardening, photography, or in preparation for a major fundraiser.  Even in this year of COVID-19 we have managed to get together small groups, social distancing and wearing masks!

Floral art workshops meet at 10am on the Saturday prior to general meetings.

Horticulture and photography workshops are held from time to time and will be posted on the calendar.

Please refer to the calendar and/or individual pages for floral art and photography schedules.

Palm stripping workshop

At this free workshop held on the 7th of July 2020, members joined Debbie, Susan and Cindy to learn how to create the base of a wreath for our Christmas fair. The workshop included tuition on how to transform Chinese Fan Palm leaves into ornate balls to decorate the wreath. Once the palms have dried, they can be painted to add a bit more character (or sparkle) to the wreath.
